Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, acknowledging that our minds can be battlegrounds. As police wives, we confess that our thoughts often spiral toward fear and worry. We imagine worst-case scenarios during every shift, scroll through social media that fills us with negativity, and allow anxiety to cloud our perspective. We recognize that our thoughts impact our hearts, our families, and our faith.
Lord, we need Your help to take every thought captive. When our minds race with “what if” scenarios, remind us that You are sovereign over every moment of our officers’ shifts. When social media feeds our fears, help us to step away and focus on Your truth instead. When we dwell on difficulties, redirect our hearts toward Your goodness and faithfulness.
Transform our thinking, Father. Please help us to meditate on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Fill our minds with gratitude for Your protection, provision, and presence in our lives. When negative thoughts creep in, may we immediately turn to You in prayer and thanksgiving.
Give us wisdom to guard what we allow into our minds and hearts. Help us to choose hope over fear, truth over lies, and peace over anxiety.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” – Philippians 4:8 (NLT)
