Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up our officers and their mental health. Lord, as wives, we often see the changes first—the sleepless nights, the increased irritability, the emotional distance, or the way they withdraw after difficult shifts. We notice when the weight of what they’ve witnessed begins to show in their eyes, their words, and their actions.

Father, give us wisdom to know how to respond. Help us recognize when our concern should turn to action, when a gentle conversation is needed, or when professional intervention might be necessary. Show us how to approach these sensitive conversations with love and understanding, knowing that officers often feel they must appear strong and invincible.

Break down the barriers of pride and stigma that keep our officers from seeking help. Please give them the courage to be vulnerable and honest about their struggles. Help them understand that getting mental health support isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of wisdom and strength.

God, grant us patience when they resist our help, and give us boldness when we need to speak difficult truths. Surround our officers with resources, counselors, and support systems that understand the unique challenges of law enforcement. Protect their careers as they seek healing.

We trust you to guide us through these challenging conversations and decisions.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” – James 1:5 (NLT)
